Hackintosh - HP EliteBook 8560w

Hackintosh refers to a way to hack Mac OS X to run on a normal PC.

As I have described the post regarding my desktop setup, I now use a Hackintosh as my desktop. This post is about how to get Mac OS X El Capitane 10.11.4 running on a HP Elitebook 8560w laptop.

Laptop Specs - Overview

The detailed specs are too long to put upfront, so please refer to the output of the commands in the Detailed section.
Its important to know the main components of the target machine, as that dictates what configs we will use, as dicussed in this link

For our purposes, the main details are this laptop is:

  • HP EliteBook 8560w
  • CPU: i7-2670QM
  • Graphics card: nVidia Quadro 1000M
  • Screen resolution: 1920x1080 LCD

This main tutorial page is primarily for Intel HD integrated/built-in/onboard graphics cards, and not the dedicated/discrete nVidia Quadro 1000M that I have. Hence the need to understand your target system to choose the correct configs

In the end, I went with these two:

which is much more hands-on, as supposed to what I have previusly done, using Multibeast and Unibeast.
